PER THE FCC Intercarrier Compensation Order in WC Dockets No. 10-90, etc., FCC No. 11-161 (November 8, 2011), and the Indiana PUC filing requirements, Birch Telecom of the Great Lakes, Inc. dba Birch Communications is filing its intrastate switched access tariff reducing rates by 50% of the differential between the current intrastate rates and its equivalent interstate rates. This filing will reduce the wholesale switched access rates for carrier customers who complete calls to Birch's local switched service customers.

The filing was made on June 1, 2012, and upon approval by the Indiana Public Utilities Commission, the reduction will have an effective date no earlier than 7/1/2012.
